| Symantec Corporation | My current company's IT is saturated with foreign workers. All are picked over American workers as most if not all the hiring managers and the upper management are foreign workers themselves and it has nothing to do with their skill set, it has to do with the fact that they are willing to work for less money, that is it. The H1b and L1 process needs to be reformed. I am asking for the most basic right of any American; the right to make a living. |

| | I worked in the field of technology, in Web design until Oct 2000 when all the jobs were outsourced and am witnessing it in my current occupation, which was not flooded until recently. Worked for Booz Allen & Hamilton, Maxim Group, WEFA, and many others. |

| Century Link | former Qwest US employees are being phased out in favor of lower paid foreign workers on H-1b visas in the Qwest, Century Link merger. In some cases these foreign workers have been trained by their US peers |

| | After years of not finding employment in my field, even with over 20 years of experience, I found contract work in Missouri in May 2007 and am still working. Savings and retirement are gone and I am approaching retirement age. When vesas for foreign workers were cut, I amazingly started to get serious phone calls for employment and got my current temporary position for a fair wage working for an employment agency. If you increase vesas for foreign workers in the IT field I am sure my work will dissapear just like it did years ago. |

| | I am writing a story on the h1b legislation pending before Congress. I am especially interested in people who work for government contractors who have been affected by the h1b visa program. Thank you. Please contact by email to set up an interview. |

| | I have been in IT industry for a long time. Most of the IT jobs nowadays are taken by H1b workers with body shops who will change the resumes to match the position, fake their resumes totally , take interviews via another proxy . H1b workers are supposed to have a job they are hired to do. Not look for job after getting H1b visa and steal all american IT jobs.
In addition the spouses of H1b visa holders also completely fake their resumes in order to get into the Quality assurance testing jobs. QA departments are full of these people.
Students on OPT visas is also same story. I am sick of so many companies who make tonnes of money using all these visa fraud methods. The abuse has to stop.
IT Staffing used to be a very decent profession but at this point with all the fake resumes in the past 10 years almost 90% of H1b visa holders are faking the resume, sit on bench, come up with pay checks by paying salary, apply for their h1b using a client letter from another company formed by the same employer.
There is absolutely no shortage of Americans who have come from many countries and have settled here.
For citizens, the wages and hourly rates have reduced and the market is now full of cheap labor from all the smaller body shops who have 800 plus h1b works using fraudulent methods and huge body shops who employ in thousands. |

| Yahoo! | I don't know where to begin. I don't know all of the damage.
Most recent discrimination is against Yahoo!
The day after they hired me as a consultant. 4 new Indians came in on the plane. My contracting agence said if I did not agree to a lower wage they would not use my services.
I believe they have mostly H1-Bs working in their Bellevue offices. in IT. |
