| Symantec Corporation | My current company's IT is saturated with foreign workers. All are picked over American workers as most if not all the hiring managers and the upper management are foreign workers themselves and it has nothing to do with their skill set, it has to do with the fact that they are willing to work for less money, that is it. The H1b and L1 process needs to be reformed. I am asking for the most basic right of any American; the right to make a living. |

| | After years of not finding employment in my field, even with over 20 years of experience, I found contract work in Missouri in May 2007 and am still working. Savings and retirement are gone and I am approaching retirement age. When vesas for foreign workers were cut, I amazingly started to get serious phone calls for employment and got my current temporary position for a fair wage working for an employment agency. If you increase vesas for foreign workers in the IT field I am sure my work will dissapear just like it did years ago. |

| | I am writing a story on the h1b legislation pending before Congress. I am especially interested in people who work for government contractors who have been affected by the h1b visa program. Thank you. Please contact by email to set up an interview. |

| Healthmarkets, Inc./Bell Helicopter | I get laid off, the Indians stay there, company after company. HealthMarkets, Inc./Bell Helicopter |

| WiPro & InfoSys | I just finished my M.S. Degree in Computer Science. I continue to see U.S. Citizen's jobs outsourced or offshored or both to INDIA and china. My current company employs the #1 & #3 outsource/offshoring H-1B visa holders, Wi-Pro & InfoSys. They are laying off U.S. workers and highing "contractors" from these two companies to do their job in the U.S. (under visa program) or in India.
I have seen this happen in my last 3-4 jobs including a FEDERAL Contracting Company that is PAKISTANI owned taking U.S. jobs or sponsoring visas for PAKISTANI, INDIAN, OR CHINESES Citizens to do work for the U.S. FEDERAL government. |

| Fannie Mae | I went to work for a major US government agency and taught a group of H1B visa holders a very exclusive software package. Some of these workers could not do the simple tasks before I taught them. However then it can time to make the first cut of contractors the non-American manager cut every american in the entire group and kept all the H1B visa holders. A number of these workers are not full time employers of the US government agency.

| BellSouth/Accenture | After working with BellSouth for approximately 12 years, I had to train or help train workers in/ from India to take my job.The software vendor (Accenture) brought the Indians over to learn essential skills, sent Amercans to India to temporaily oversee the knowledge tranfer and to work the problems out of the data center they created there. Afterwards we were laid off or for contractors our contracts were terminated. In addition to the economic harm to the community, this has severely jeopardized the abi;ity of BellSouth (now AT&T) to provide quality serviceto their customers and has opened private information (They will deny this) to foreign interests. Try calling at night to discuss your bill. If it's not in the script I guarantee you will hang up in disgust. |
